Check to make sure that all of the light bulbs are correct, and not bad, then inspect front and rear light wiring harnesses, and harness grounds, (what you say is sign of bad tail/brake light ground). One other thing, under left kick panel(left front under dash panel, in front of door) there is a multi-pin connector, carefully pull the connecter out of the inner cavity, disassemble connector and check for corrosion, clean as necessary, use caution not to damage metal connectors on either side, put silicone grease on female side of connector and carefully reassemble!
