Car started then died this morning then would not start again. I do not think it is the battery. It is not making any clicking or any noise and there seems to be plenty of power to the lights and radio. It has been giving me trouble dying sometimes. I have been having trouble for a while with my car starting then wanting to die and not idle. Sometimes it dies when I make a turn or slow down and sometimes it is fine. This morning I started it up and it died immediately but when I tried to start it again it won't start. It also does not make a clicking noise like it may be the battery. I doesn't really make a noise at all. I moved the shifter back and fourth a couple of times because I know sometimes there can be a problem in there. That didn't work. When I parked it yesterday it was fine. Do you have any suggestions? Unemployed and can't afford to take it anywhere.

I'd use a digital multimeter across battery posts, everything off. The generic spec for a full charge is around 12.6 volts.

Also, check the purple wire at the starter solenoid S terminal, should be hot with key in the crank position. The info I looked at was for cutlass ciera 3.1L engine. Note the diagram.
