1995 Mitsubishi Galant engine cranks but wont start

1995 Mitsubishi Galant mileage: 125,000. My Mitsubishi Galant has given me no problems until now. Over the last few days I have heard a squeaky noise and something that I can only try to describe as a pump noise of some sort, almost like a dry pump. Yesterday as I started the car, it turned over, but would not start?

Here are some things to have checked: 1. Check to see if the timing belt/chain has failed, 2. Check for ignition spark at spark plugs, 3. Check for fuel pressure, 4. Scan P.C.M. (Computer) for fault or error codes. The information should pinpoint the mal functioning components.
