I RECENTLY LOST MY ALARM FOB WHEN IT GOT CRUSHED IN SOME MACHINERY AT WORK. I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO DISCONNECT THE ALARM SO THAT THE DOORS AND IGNITION STILL WORK. I PLAN TO TAKE IT TO A SHOP TO HAVE THEM LOOK AT IT, BUT I CAN'T EVEN START THE CAR.

If its a factory alarm using the key in one of the door will and or should deactivate the alarm system
if it is an after market system look under the dash and steering wheel area
usually they leave an on off toggle switch or small push in button
turn key on and push it
or move the switch back and force and try

and if all fail you may try to disconnect the battery and place key in the ignition turn it on and than reconnect the battery
