We are replacing the distributor and are unsure on how to set the timing so that it will run.
This is the first time I have had to do this and am unsure (even with the Chilton book) on how to do this correctly.

You need to put engine no.1 piston on its compression stroke/TDC and line up the crank puley to TDC/0 degs before you remove the distributor making sure the rotor is pointing to no.1 cap-
