1995 Ford Aerostar You Tell Head Bolt Standard Metric Bought Helicoil Set Put

How can you tell if the head bolt is standard or metric i bought a helicoil set and its metric but when i put my bolt in it won't work and is eating the threads off my bolt how can fix it and determine what s size it is

YOU HAVE DRILLED/ TAPPED OUT/ AND INSTALLED A HELI-COIL INTO A DAMAGED HOLE???

IF SO, TOO LATE TO DO ANYTHING ELSE

LOOK AT YOUR HELI-COIL PACKAGE

WHATEVER SIZE THE HELI-COIL IS

OBTAIN A BOLT THAT SIZE, IN WHATEVER LENGTH IN NEEDS TO BE, AND INSTALL IT
