1995 Dodge Dakota ignition switch

If my ignition switch is bad could it cause my truck to die and not restart for a few hours. Im not getting any spark after it dies. I did check the harness at the ignition coil with a volt meter after it died one wire was constant the other would only flash for a second while being turned over by my buddy

Here's a tip
The harness splice under the fuse block under the hood has a splice that corrodes and causes a no start condition check this if you have these symptoms check your asd relay as well

I checked the harness under the fuse block. Its ok. If the asd relay was bad would I still be getting fuel. Because im getting plenty of fuel just no spark

Scan for codes and check resistance of cam and crank sensors they can have high resistance yet not give a code.I don't know what resistance is supposed to be check against a new one.
