If you're trying to replace the bulb, you don't have to remove the housing for that. Just unplug the bulb and turn the lock ring, then pull the lock ring off and pull the bulb out. Be sure to not touch the bulb glass. Finger print oil will burn through the glass and destroy the bulb.

If you need to remove the housing to replace it, I'll have to look it up in a service manual. Can't say I remember ever doing that.

There are 2 bolts that hold the front assembly in, not allowing access to the back side. The bolt is a tapered type with approx 1/2" shaft and the a smaller male thread 3/8"? This thread goes into a plastic socket. I can turn it very easily, even spun it with a drill. I've tried putting vise grips on the bolt head and pulled, twisted and even put a large screwdriver under the visegrips and lifting while twisting. It just doesn't want to come out. Does anyone have a work around or suggestions?
