1995 eldorado , trunk pull down motor ,doesn't always work

Check the switch that is mounted on the pull down assembly, more than likely it is at fault. The connector that goes to it, check for green corrosion on the terminals. Usually, what causes problems for these is a water in the trunk from a leak.

youll have to replace the pulldown switch.
