1997 Cadillac El Dorado trunk pulldown

All of a sudden my trunck pulldown motor quit working. I have recycled the lever on the lid mechanizm and i've checked the fuse. I think I need a schematic on replacing or repairing the motor, but i'm not sure. Any advise you can give will be greatly appreciated.

First to check would be for water leaking in the trunk, is there water in your spare tire well. Pull the connection on the pull down switch and check for corrosion(the pull down switch is the paddle on the lock side). 9 times out of 10, the problem is the switch. If the trunk has water in it(or has had), the moisture has caused it to fail.
