Cheapest way to replace abs system on 1995 acura intergra with 68,000 miles. Pads were just replaced. My mechanic says it will be $1,000 to repair abs system (probably with acura parts). Are there alternative parts to use that might be cheaper? Or should I take it to brake specialist to get the work done. Would that cost less? I don't have a lot of money to invest in the car, but it's my only vehicle?

Also.I'm not sure if it just the control model and/or the wheel sensors?

The cheapest way you can repair this is to take it to a competent tech that has electronic diagnosis experience. Not a chain brake store that doesn't have the training or equipment to diagnose it properly. The way you can spend too much to fix this is by someone misdiagnosing the problem. You get what you pay for.
