just put new clutch in, 2 mechanics say the clutch pedal bracket is loose and that the pedal stopper on top of bracket is stripped out. does entire dashboard need to come out or can an autobody place repair the bracket. it seems to be welded in and is there anyway to repair the clutch pedal bracket system?
Thanks,
-Jason

Not easy to repair the stopper bracket with dash on. You can try using a nut to hold the clutch pedal switch instead of relying on the bracket threads.

You will have to take the pedal box out, you will find that some of the spot welds have let go and the bracket will be torn, you risk a fire with any weld in car repair with this.
