I'm buying one of these cars (3000gt manual), and it needs an engine replacement, and the guy is selling the car with an engine from another 3000gt, but it has an automatic transmission. Is it possible to switch the two nevertheless the transmission type? Like are the engines universal along with the flywheel, bell housing etc in 3000gt's? Or how would I go about swapping the engines?

first you'll have ot see if transmission shaft will fit in end of crank then if it does put in a pilot bearing thenswap over all the clutch components so your clutch will work. Also the clutch flywheel......see pic
