where is the motor ground...then if i upgrade the power wire from alternator to battery do i have to remove oem wire? if so how do i go about this? also should i add a ground from battery to motor as well as the battery to chassis? This question is in regards to doing the "big 3 upgrade" for an aftermarket audio system.

There is a ground kit you can purchase to replace the OEM ground cables.

I believe there are only 3 main ground cables on the engine/trans. One on the valve cover, one on the transmission and the other is from the battery to ground.

To remove the alternator power wire, you must cut up the plastic protector on the engine wiring harness
