1994 Ford Taurus; The battery has a charge and powers everything, but as soon as I turn the ignition switch, the whole car shuts down. As soon as I attach only the neutral side of my portable jump starter, everything powers back up, and the car can start, Is there a grounding problem?

Sounds like you have loose or dirty battery cable connections. If cleaning and tightening doesn't help, grab an inexpensive digital voltmeter and holler back.

Thanks for the help, I fixed the loose connection (and it needed a cleaning, really badly).
