I have a 94 ford contour, was driving down the road and smelled something so I started to slow down to check it out. As I did so I looked at all my gauges, well the temp gauge had dropped, obviously not reading any thing. As I pulled over the car shut off.

Within the couple of Weeks prior to happening just had oil changed filter, air filter and spark plugs changed.

Great site :)

Check the oil to see if the level is correct, after the car has cooled check coolant levels to make sure the car didn't overheat which can happen even if the gauge dosnt say so.
