Hi, have a diesel truck listed above with turbo that I put a new engine, new transmission, new turbo into about 2 years ago. Since then, only put bout 3,000 miles on it. After the new build happened it started going into limp mode. Did a bit of trouble shooting and discovered it was an issue in the cluster. Sent it into ClusterFix and when the cluster was returned I reinstalled the repaired unit and it worked great no problems. Now, just 2 years later I'm having the same problem. Goes into limp mode. Sent the cluster back to be repaired or see if the initial service was faulty but no-go. The cluster is fine. I've done a few other troubleshooting things but nothing seems to work. I'm stumped. Any suggestions?

Good morning,

The limp mode could be either from the engine or transmission.

If it is the engine, the RPM will be limited to just over idle. If that is the case, check the fuel filter for being clogged and make sure the fuel pump is working as well. It is a low-pressure pump to supply fuel to the injector pump.

If it is transmission, then it could be an internal failure where it defaults to one gear to allow movement forward.
