My A/C Worked GREAT all last summer, to the point where I would have to turn the A/C OFF! This Year is different; I en bought a small can of A/C 134 to put in it when it first appeared to not be putting out any COLD Air! I had a friend go to put it in but when he checked the Pressure on the Gauge it said it was Overcharged, it was in the Red! He then released it until it was back in the GREEN. Still no COLD air, he had told/Showed me that the Compressor was not going when it should! Right then when he was saying that; it kicked on for a minute & Kicked right back off! Is there any thing I can do to Re-Gain my A/C Anything that will not cost Preferably? Can U help me?

There is very little or nothing that you can do that will not cost (unless your friend can do it).
The system needs to be evacuated, orifice tube replaced (if it has one) vacuumed and recharged.

By the way how did your friend "."Release" it until it was back in the GREEN."?

No the screwdriver and towel won't cause any problems. However, you should know that venting refrigerant to the atmosphere is very much against the law. That is why It's suggested that a/c professionals are used to repair a/c problems. Besides in the end you'll have to have on to evacuate and recharge the system. Is it working now or do you still have same problem?

I Truly Appreciate & are Very Grateful for your Knowledge of Cars, as well as your way of Explaining is Plenty Helpful!

Have your friend to recheck the A/C pressures.
Since the system has not been in use the pressures on both the low and high sides should be the same. If so this means that there is no blockage in the system (this would be good).

If the pressures are too low, put that can of R134A in and see if the system starts to cool.

Let me know what happens.
