Brakes locked up all wheels. Disconnected the ABS Controller and the fuse for it. Drove it across Colorado w/no problems *drove cautiously." Replaced the ABS controller and it locked up again almost immediately. Disconnected it, let car cool and drove home. Did it again with controller disconnected. Had new brakes installed. Drove it again and locked up in hot weather. Mechanic released the brakes for me and drove home. What could be causing this? I have to transport vehicle across Colorado again and I don't have the money to buy a Pressure Modulator Motor. How do I keep it from locking up just to get it moved across the state so I can wait until I have enough money to have it fixed.

This cold be the hoses going to calipers in front and or the abs unit. If it's ok unplugged drive it like that. But it should be scanned to see what the problem is. Abs unit s should be replaced as a whole not only motor

I know the Pressure modulator is a complete unit with the motor, etc. I also know that on some vehicles the ABS controller is part of that unit. This one is separate. That's why I know it's not the controller. I don't know how to disconnect the pressure modulator.

Thanks for your help. Do I need to plug the brake lines? Will I lose my brake fluid when unplug them? Could I just unplug everything for now and leave it in place?

You have been a tremendous help. Do you think the wheels will still want to lock up if that is disconnected?

No, I only unplugged the controller. It did lock up when the engine block got hotter (warm day) with the controller unplugged.
