Check fluid pressure. Check fluid level and condition. If fluid pressure is low, you'll need a front pump. Bring level to within specs. If fluid has brownish tinge or smells bad (you'll know) have it flushed.
If all this is fine, pour about a tablespoon or two of brake fluid in and run it for awhile. Then see if that makes any changes. If so, it'll work for a couple thousand miles. If not (or if so), you'll need to have it rebuilt, unless the linkage is misadjusted.
