I can't afford to replace the head gaskets right now. But I need my car. What is the best sealant on the market right now? And which would be better, one with the liquid glass or one without? Also, oil on dipstick seems gritty. Is this a related issue?

I'm more of a older vehicle nut, I mainly deal with jeep cjs, i've been living in the 70's and 80's on back, my rigs tend to last forever (i've never really left there, until recently). Head gaskets were seldom an issue with anyone on cast iron engines. But when it was, the fix was always take it apart and do it right.

Out of necessity I started working part time at a popular auto parts store, where i've been slowly broken into the realm of disposable cars

Just out of curiosity, and since i've been asked the same question many times, and wanting to expand my knowledge for my jobs sake.I've asked many of the owners of the local repair shops the same question, when delivering parts

. Even though I have no experience with it

I'd say it's been 99% to 1 that "blue devil" has been the most trusted "magic fix" around here, most places swear by it

They also added."follow the directions to a tee", and you will have good results

I've taken many pics around the store of interesting stuff and helpful stuff I can use on here.I've answered well over 7000 questions."blue devil" is the one on the far left in my 1st pic
