lowbeam head lights out

Low beam headlights went dim then out completely. What caused it and can I get it fixed easily or do it myself?

First, I would check body grounds. It sounds like it may have had a bad connection and then lost total connection. Try this. Run a jumper wire from the neg battery terminal and ground it near the headlights.
