Is the coolant level full? Have you checked the thermostat? Are the cooling fans coming on?

Most likely your water pump has failed.

Generally the Thermostat which is the easiest to blame here, is not the cause of your problem. If the car is over heating in the summer time, then the water pump will need to be replaced. In the winter time, sometimes the thermostat is to blame, but often on these cars, the blend door actuator is the cause of having no heat.

The blend air door has nothing to do with overheating.
