Engine not cranking?

Hey, my name is Roderick and I have the vehicle listed above. I recently bought it and it had some things wrong with it so I jumped into fixing it, so it all started when I did valve cover gasket with spark gasket and front main seal, to do the main crank seal I had to retime the car. My roommate is a mechanic and we had failed to time it once it was cranking and after a few minutes of not starting we agreed timing was off. So he did timing again and went to crank it I hesitantly started and shut off and wouldn’t start again then that when we found out timing was off again but it also decided it doesn’t want to crank anymore but this time instead of being retarted by 4 teeth it was off by 2 teeth. So, I then took it upon myself to retime it on my own time to retime it and was able to refine it properly but still am having a problem with it not wanting to crank. So, I decided I would try and jump diag port pin te1 and e1 with the car in Neutral od on and ac off and i’m not getting any codes.
