1993 Ford Fiesta car wont start fully

My car is a 1993 ford fiesta 1.1litre.I could start the car perfectly since I got it but one day I went out to start it but it wouldn't start fully its just started for 1/2 a second. I checked fuel pump but its working perfect checked fuel filter and its also perfect. I put a drop of fuel into the carb and it fires but cuts out straight away. Very confused need help.

If it starts when you feed it fuel, then chances are you have a fuel related issue. If the fuel pump is working properly (correct pressure) then I recommend checking to see if the injectors are getting power and working. Even if the fuel pressure is good, the injectors may not be putting fuel into the engine.
