Power windows, blower fan, back up lights fuse

On our Dodge Dakota, the fuse that runs the power windows, blower fan for the A/C & heater and the back up lights has blown 4 times, usually in less than a day. My husband put in a 50 amp fuse, thinking that there wasn't enough power, and that blew in less than 12 hours, after running the blower once for 3 seconds. Now when I push the power window switches, move the blower switch to on, or put it in reverse, the brake light comes on! My husband thinks it's the ignition switch that's bad. Is he right, or is something else going on? Thank you for your help!

First of all, big mistake putting in 50 amp fuse. You have now overheated the harness and may have caused even more damage.
One of the items is pulling too much current and it needs to be checked to find out which part is failing. You are lucky that a fire has not occured.

Disconnect one item at a time and put the correct fuse in the panel and see if it blows. When it blows, you will know which part is failing.

You have some serious electrical problem here and also be so advised do not use a higher amperage fuse on a low amp circuit this might cause an electrical fire-Your best bet is bring her in and have an experience electrical tech do the troubleshooting bcuz you might end up making things worst. You can try the ignition switch, I doubt the problem is coming from there
