Won't change gears

Hello.I have just recently replace the thermostat and after I got everything back together I now notice that the van dosen't want to come out of second gear and revs high, just wondering if I have knocked a hose of somewhere and can not seem to locate it. Your help is greatly needed

Coolant temp sensor maybe. Check engine lighton? Trans in fail safe mode should have set a code
