Last nigth my wfe was driving my 1993 dodge caravan, suddenly steering, brakes, and gas pedal got blocked, after that, she tuned off the engine, then turn it back on and the car did not move forward nor reverse, after a couple of times trying the same thing the car worked and I could drive it, but mysteriously the a/c did not work and the air bag lit on. I checked the computer and it shows code 51. It is very rare because the day before we made a long trip and the car worked fine. What could it be the problem?

A code 51 is for a lean mixture (O2 sensor stuck in lean mixture). I need you to be aware that the cause of this could be coming from a bad MAP sensor. If your fuel mileage drops, then the O2 sensor is the most likely cause. However, that doesn't deal with the other problems she experienced. Something tells me the engine stalled causing the other problems.

Let me know.

Thanks for your help! I have changed not long ago the map sensor, spark plugs, TPS, O2 sensor, and it has a K&N air filter on it. Yes I noticed a significant drop on MPG but after I changed all those parts. I forgot to mention, during our trip I had to drive through flooded road, could it be the reason for electrical problems maybe?
