Have a 1992 grand prix, a couple of days it would not start battery connection was fine it just did not start but later it would start no problem now it will not start at all. THere is no clicking noise in the starter simply does not turn over. I can hear the fuel pump engage when problem happened before it actually started a couple of times when we messed with the wiring. I am wondering if it is the solenoid or the wiring and how I would diagnose that?

I'd have to make sure the battery has a full charge. Other possibilities are the neutral switch-- ignition switch-- starter itself-- wiring circuit somewhere?

Just to add, the purple wire at the starter solenoid S terminal, should be hot with the key in the crank position.
