I have a 1992 Mercury Tracer with the 1.9 ltr, motor.I'ts been a really good car, but today I went to start it, turned the key, nothing happened tried again and it started went to the store, tried starting it again and nothing but a click, I'm not really sure what it would be, maybe starter ! What do you think? I cleaned the battery terminals and the battery has plenty of juice ! Thankyou !

If you're hearing a single rather loud clunk each time you turn the ignition switch to "crank", check the two larger nuts on the starter solenoid to be sure they're tight. Follow the red positive battery cable to that solenoid. It was real common on Fords for those nuts to come loose. When you use a wrench on them, be careful that it doesn't contact anything metal on the car at the same time.
