1992 Mercury Tracer wont turn over !

I have a 1992 Mercury Tracer with the 1.9 liter that was running good went to the store came out and it wont turn over, it just clicks, The battery is good ! Do you think it might be the starter if so can a starter go out just like that ! Thank you !

Check battery for condition including load test it may be that. Could be starter too but check batt first. Auto parts do for free

I went out today and my car started right up, turned it off and started it again ! Later on went to start it again and nothing its doing the same thing ! What do you think it could it be ! Thank you !

Well I know for sure it's not the battery, But would it not turn over then start later if it was the starter ! Thank You !

This can be a relay, ignition switch or starter you can get starter tested for draw on the car by a pro or take it off and have an auto parts test it. Check to see if starter gets same voltage as battery as it could also be a cable or solenoid depending on type of starter.
