Hi,
I just bought this vehicle and I smell exhaust when I am driving it, more than I thought i would.
I was checking out the engine and noticed this:

Can anyone help me identify what this hose is for? Perhaps why i smell exhaust? It seems to be broken, would love to fix it but not sure what exactly its for.

both of the hoses that arrow points to are for breather and vacuum. have an assistant put hand over exhaust with a rag to block and check where leak is from sound, may be a manifold or gasket cracked/broken/missing

Need to know what you really have

1992

CJ-2-3-5-6-7-8-10

2.4 Liter

Just don't go together in no way at all!

We don't mind helpin', we just need accurate info to go on

Your link took me to something about maps (being an Airborne Ranger, back when men were men, I've dealt with them many times too!)

I have two of 'em

A 1946 CJ-2A w/ a 134 CID engine (that's a 2.2 liter for all of you metric folks) and a 1977 CJ-5 w/ a 258 CID engine (4.2 liter for you modern fellers)

Send accurate info, we'll see what we can do!
