Why do i get trouble code 15? What can i test?

code 15 No vehicle speed sensor signal

Also from time to time my abs light will stay on. When this happens my radio doesn't work. When i turn the truck off and on again the light goes out and my radio works. I was told it was my abs sensor on my rear axle. I was wondering is there anything i can check/test before i replace the sensor.
