Need help with my distributor

On the distributor you have 4 spark plug wires, is there something else, some kind of small plug or something else that plugs in the top next to spark I took the distributor off and there was what appeared to be rust and a small hole that looks like something should plug into it! Can you show me a distributor that is installed from straight on view?

You only have the coil input and 4 plug posts as you have mentioned, on some caps there is a small cap vent, this is what you are looking at, there is nothing else that plugs into a cap.
