I'm just about to buy my first car and I just wanted to know if it would be worth it to buy it if the rings on one of the pistons are worn. The car would only have to last until I save enough to buy a better one.

I would not get involved in the car, worn rings may just be the start of the problems, I do think that you would be better off saving your money and investing in another better car, what you will spend on the escort is just going to wasted if you do not keep the car.
