my car isnt running right

i have a 91 dodge daytona shelby in neutral it has slow and weak pick up but when the turbo spools up at about 5 grand and u let off it lets out a really loud backfire and it has no power on the road

Check for major vacuum leaks, timing, fuel pump pressure, and for tune up. I don't know the mileage, but if it is high, you may want to check compression. (make sure the timing belt is good too)
