Hello, So I bought this truck as a fixer upper you could say and so far its been going great.

Than my friend decides she wants to help so I figure sure here is an easy job change my key lock because she has said she has done it before. Long story short she puts it back together wrong causing the horn wring and the turn signal plastic housing to break. So I got myself a steering column from the wrecker put the new pieces in but now I got no high beams Its really loose and no response. Also when using the signal to turn left it kicks my truck out of cruise control.

My second question is I have the old gauges that fills up but on this model there was no tach. If I get a different dash from the same year but that comes with a tach will it integrate properly or do I just have to buy the tachometer and mount it to the vehicle?

Recheck your work your switch may be damaged or installed incorrectly. On tilt columns, feed connector down through the housing and under mounting bracket. Install cover on harness. On all columns, position turn signal switch in neutral position. Pull out on hazard warning knob.
Install turn signal switch lever. Install mounting screws, instrument panel trim plate, hazard warning knob, washer, upper bearing preload spring and canceling cam onto the upper end of shaft.
Screw center post of Lock Plate Compressor (J-23653-C) onto steering shaft as far as it will go. Install NEW retaining ring over center post. Place "C" bar over the center post. Compress lock plate by turning nut clockwise.
Slide new retaining ring down the tapered center post into the shaft groove. Remove lock plate compressor. Install cover on lock plate and snap into position. Install steering wheel
you dont' have the harness for the tach and would be much easier to wire in a tachfrom an aftermarket supplier. You wold only need to wire in the tach lead from dist, power, ground and light
