Hello,

We just purchased a 1990 Nissan Hardbody and it has issues with not starting after running for awhile (no set amounts of time, and seems to be fine as long as it IS running - however when you turn it off it won't start for random amounts of time from 12 hours to a few days). I have been assigned the task of finding out where the ECU grounds are so that we can check those and I keep hitting deadends. Can you direct me to where I might find a diagram that will show me these points?

Thanks so much!

If you had a bad ground, the problem would always be there and I don't believe the engine would run. When it doesn't start, have you checked to see if the engine is getting spark and fuel?

He didn't answer the question. Instead, he gave his diagnosis. Where are the ground straps located? The question remains unanswered.

It really doesn't show the engine computer grounds, I would follow the engine wiring harness, and you can see the grounds break out which they should be connected, most of the time the grounds will be near the intake manifold or cylinder head.
