The clutch on my 190e 2.6 goes immediately to the floor when you push on it with your foot and stays there. It won't return back to its normal position unless you manually bring it back. Also the clutch won't disengage. It's stuck engaged. The car does drive, I had to drive 3 miles from when it went, back to my house. But I couldn't use any clutch. Had to shift by matching revs and starting out with 1st gear engaged. Could it be air in the hydraulic lines or is it needing slave cylinder, master cylinder or release bearing. Or a whole new clutch in general.

Thanks,

Gavin

Check to see if there are any hydraulic leaks in the clutch system. If not, I suspect the clutch master cylinder.

Thanks for the quick reply. I checked for leaks found nothing. And the reservoir was full. So must be the master cylinder then. Thanks again

It will either be the MC or the slave. However, the MC is usually the first to go.

Let me know what you find.

Hello,
Just letting know you it was the clutch master cylinder. The shaft broke completely off at the top. Should be fixed by Thursday. Part comes in Wednesday. Thanks again

I had a feeling it had something to do with the MC. The slave usually never go bad. However, I'm glad you found the issue. Let us know if you have questions in the future.
