What exactly is it doing? Other than stuck in park-Is it cranking over and will not start? If so check for spark and fuel-

Truck does not crank over, no clicking noise, Thought it was the ignition so I replaced it. New ignition does the same thing. Put key in and it turns freely. I can start the truck by putting the key in the start position and opening hood and connecting the positive and negative on the solenoid, but it is still stuck in park and key turn freely.
