Hi,
My Dodge Dakota has been having an issue. This is the second time btw. While driving the engine just cuts off. I thought it was a fuel problem, but quickly deduced it was electrical. The shop I towed it to fiddled with all the electrical connections ensuring they were tight. The problem is before the coil. They also had to take the battery out and recharge it because after trying to start it so many times it drained. When they hooked up the battery again and tried it, it started. So basically the shop told me it was fixed but they don't know what they did to fix it. They charged me 60 bucks for labor.
It happened a second time last week, and the story is exactly the same. Do you think something is resetting when they disconnect the battery? Maybe the computer? IDK but I certainly am tired of paying 60 bucks for nothing. They wanted me to pick it up but I said no because obviously it's not fixed and will do it again. It is in the single digits temp wise here and breaking down in that sucks!
Thanks in advance for your help

Here is how the fob is done so you can get the problem fixed. Check out the images (below). Let us know what you find. This tells you how to change the hall effect sensor which go out on these trucks.
