HAHA it might be but lets check a few things first.

Where is the smoke under the hood coming from? Also what color is the smoke?

Smoke is coming from underneath the air filter and I believe the smoke is coming out white from both and smelling like unburned fuel

I would perform a compression test and see what you find there.
