My 87 Chevy 1 ton dullay with a454 tbi engine cuts out going down th e road?

When I accelerate my truck acts like it is missing and then it clears out, it docent do all the time just some times, there is no codes being thorn or anything, but the other night I was getting on to interstate and it started doing it and then quit and then it back fired and through a service engine light soon on for maybe 30 seconds

Do you know what the code is? There are a lot of things that could do that. Pull a code by jumping a and b on the obd 1 connector under the drivers side of the dash. Turn key on not run but on and the engine light will flash codes. One blink and then 2 blinks is a cade 12. Let's see where that takes us.
