1. The blower switch keeps burning out. Any ideas as to why? It has the sliding type and it's always the far right blade, as you sit in the driver's seat, that has the wire burning off.
2. The old girl is getting some age on her and the weather stripping is going. I have found the kits, but they do not seem to include what I call the rain gutter. On the S10, it is a piece on plastic that runs up the "A" pillar and along the side of the cab. I don't know what the correct name for it is, per Chevrolet, and can't find a source for it. Can any one point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
Tom

Problem one is a short to ground, could be insulation on wire or kinked wire. You will have to remove unit and check it.
Could also be a large amp draw on motor, but since you say it happens when moved to right, I suspect a short, in wiring or switch.

As far as weather stripping, go to local custom truck parts store, they usually carry aftermarket parts.
