1986 toyota pickup (2wd/4cyl) Hazard lights stopped working, as did stereo. When they were working, turning them on would cause the stereo to turn off (then on again), and if the truck was not running, the flasher relay would just 'buzz'. Turn signals, and all other lights work fine.

There's a serious wiring issue at play here. I'm guessing the stereo is not the stock one. Most likely, you'll find that whoever installed it tapped in to the hazard light power or output lead. Try replacing the hazard relay.
