i have a nissan 300zx its a 1986 and my clutch pedal wont come all the way out and its really hard to shift when it does that

Check the clutch fluid level in master cylinder reservoir. If it is low, it indicates a leak somewhere. If pumping the clutch pedal a few times in succession makes the clutch works better, the hydraulic system is failing and needs repair.
