Car sat parked for about a year. Ran perfect before parked, but now won't run. Turns over just fine, and will crank/run with fuel added directly to carburetor till it burns off. Have changed the fuel pump, filter and replaced all the gas in tank, but still having the same problem. What else should we check and/or replace?

Is this a mechanical fuel pump? With fuel line loose, can you blow air into the tank. You may have to drop the tank and take a look. The filter sock may be clogged?

It is a mechanical fuel pump. Have not tried blowing air into the tank. There is fuel in the bottom line coming out of the carburetor and it squirts fuel out when disconnected and I crank the car. Will run when I pour fuel directly into the carb.

If you work accelerator pump, can you see gas squirt into the carb throat? Maybe you need a carb kit? Is the float bowl full of gas. Some rochester carbs, I can pull the airhorn without removing the carb to see if gas in the float bowl.

Can't see gas squirt when pumping the gas pedal. Gas pedal doesn't seem to depress exactly the same as it did but not 100% certain about that.
