It was raining hard, the brakes locked on the truck, truck slid into a concrete highway barrier at approx 20 kms per hour. The steering could not be turned after that, had to tow the truck home.

If parts are bent it will need to be inspected, preferably at a tire and alignment shop. If the steering is just real hard but it can be turned both ways without binding, the power steering belt may have popped off the pulleys.
