Two years ago, I had to move for work and couldn't take my 1979 Corvette Stingray with me, so I put it in storage. Prior to storage it had no issues. When I just came back and got it out I had it towed to my home, and I noticed in the storage unit all my transmission fluid had leaked out. What could this be caused by? What should I check first? and Should I jump start my battery to start or first fill all liquids? I don't know much about cars.

You always want to make sure the fluids are filled properly first.

So, you may have a leak, but we need to put fluid in it to not only get it started but to find out where the leak is.

More than that we have an issue with the rear main seal, but this is normally only an issue after you drive it. So, I suspect if this leaked out in storage then the issue is a transmission line rusted through unless you have rubber lines. If you do, then that would be the likely cause.

However, we need to start with checking and topping off fluids and then deal with the battery.

Let us know if you have questions and we can go from there.

Thanks
