74 corvette i have parking lights but, no headlights. when i turn on the parking lights everything is fine but when i turn the headlights on the rest of the lights flicker and get dim. i checked the ground and it was fine. i'm thinking possibly a headlight switch. any idea's.?

first you need to see if the headlights are opening up. if they are, check the ground going to the headlights that'sthe black wire. usually it goes to thelow beams. and high beams. check yoru dimmer switch first. just disconnect it and turn your headlights on, if they work then that's your problem. they have a habit of getting corrosion on them and doing this. especiallly mounted on the floor.
